THE BLACK HOLES OF EDUCATION

Today, teachers seem unable to remember history, politics and theory, as if such things were black holes that they do not need to contemplate. Accordingly, the historical truth of things, actions and choices and the political character of education are not taken any more into account. The result of this educational practice is that the subject lives in a present time, without historical background and drew a blank on the theoretical dimension in her/his activity. This book reinstates the role of history, politics and theory in education and reconsiders the development of educational practices as power practices.
